Collecting your core Pixelmator Pro preferences

For troubleshooting issues such as crashes, hangs and other unexpected behavior:

  1. Quit Pixelmator Pro (Pixelmator > Quit Pixelmator Pro).
  2. Open Finder and go to this directory: ~/Library/Containers/com.pixelmatorteam.pixelmator.x .
  3. Copy the folder named 'Data' to your desktop.
  4. Compress the folder to make it easier to email. To do that, Control-click it and choose Compress. Email the resulting zip file to us at support@pixelmator.com.
  5. You can now move the Data folder and the Data.zip file from your desktop to the Trash.

Optional: Collecting additional Pixelmator Pro preferences

For troubleshooting issues usually related to presets libraries and the Pixelmator Pro Photos extension:

  1. Quit Pixelmator Pro (Pixelmator > Quit Pixelmator Pro).
  2. Open the Finder and choose Go > Go to Folder. Paste the following path: ~/Library/Group Containers .
  3. Inside the Group Containers directory, find the folder called '4R6749AYRE.com.pixelmator'.
  4. Copy the 4R6749AYRE.com.pixelmator folder to your desktop.
  5. Compress the folder to make it easier to email. To do that, Control-click it and choose Compress. Email the resulting zip file to us at support@pixelmator.com.
  6. You can now move the 4R6749AYRE.com.pixelmator folder and the 4R6749AYRE.com.pixelmator.zip file from your desktop to the Trash.

If the .zip files are too large to be attached to your email, follow these steps: 

  1. Open upload.pixelmator.com.
  2. Click the Choose Files button.
  3. Select your .zip file and click Choose.
  4. Once the file has been uploaded, Control-click the link that appears below the Choose Files button and click Copy Link.
  5. Include this link in your message to us.
