Change the type of subscription

Pixelmator Photo subscription comes in three different types: monthly, yearly, or lifetime. If you'd like to change the subscription type, you can do that any time.

To change the Pixelmator Photo subscription type:

1. Open the Settings app on your iPhone or iPad.

2. Tap your name.

3. Tap Subscriptions.

4. In the list of subscriptions, tap Pixelmator Photo. 

5. Choose a subscription type you want and follow the directions on the screen to confirm your purchase.

Note: If you got Pixelmator Photo during the brief promotional period when it was free, you’ll need to subscribe to get unlimited access. If you’re not sure whether you got a paid version of Pixelmator Photo, you can check your App Store purchase history.

Cancel subscription

If you are using Pixelmator Photo as a yearly or monthly subscription, you can cancel it any time you want. 

To cancel the Pixelmator Photo subscription: 

1. Open the Settings app on your iPhone or iPad.

2. Tap your name.

3. Tap Subscriptions.

4. In the list of subscriptions tap Pixelmator Photo.

5. Tap Cancel Subscription. You might need to scroll down to find the Cancel Subscription button. If there is no Cancel button or you see an expiration message in red text, the subscription is already canceled.

Restore subscription

If you have previously deleted Pixelmator Photo and would like to start using it again, or if you'd like to install it on a secondary device, you'll want to restore your purchase.

To restore your Pixelmator Photo purchase:

1. Download Pixelmator Photo on a device you'll be using it on. You should find it in your list of purchased apps on the App Store.

2. Open Pixelmator Photo and in the subscription screen that appears, tap Restore. If you don't see the screen, tap the gear icon in the Photos or the Files browser and tap Subscribe to Pixelmator Photo.

3. If you're not signed in to the App Store, you may be asked to sign in when restoring the purchase. Once your purchase is restored, you can additionally change your subscription type in the Pixelmator Photo settings.

Refund subscription

Pixelmator Photo subscription refunds are handled by Apple. When applying for a refund, keep in mind that in different regions different Apple refund policies may apply which are not regulated by the Pixelmator Team.

To apply for a refund:

1. Sign in to on your iPhone or iPad.

2. Tap or click "I'd like to", then choose "Request a refund".

3. Choose the reason why you want a refund, then choose Next.

4. Choose the Pixelmator Photo subscription, then tap Submit.

It may take up to 48 hours for the money to be returned to your account.

Note: If you sign up for a 7-day Pixelmator Photo trial and you don't want to renew the subscription, make sure to cancel it at least 24 hours before the trial ends. If you do it later, you may be charged the full subscription fee.
